& neither is inexperience

irritation is the first symptom of emotional obsolescence;
i believe that
if i believe anything at all

it's cold and beautiful on top of the world
irrespective of whose land it is

i'm sorry i ever opened my mouth but
in the depths of space there are
innumberable mysteries we are only beginning to unravel
& you don't care, you don't care

i don't love, any more
i dwell in the house of awe
imagining brighter futures
& you don't figure in them at all.
