No land but the soles of my feet
no tongue but what holds my spit
you say all men should have a country
but I say i want none of it
no language to hold and bind me
no bones and borders to shelter in
no faith or family to blind me
to that final battle no one wins
you all say close-knit society
like it's something all should do
and so forget that which shields
will also strangle you.
loose weave lets me live freer
and draw more honest breath
and because I don't clutch onto life
oh strangers, I don't fear death
