To be beckoned with a half smile
To be the spotlit focus of a sly sideways look
And draw a blanket of secrecy about this public meeting
Salutations to my better self
A romance worth prolonging
And tomorrows that improve relentlessly
On each passing today
Some heart beats in delighted anticipation
A connection made and not regretted
Welcome silences, changed minds, a gallery of beautiful and meaningless ephemera
