i saw john lewis, aged 80, playing with his cats

I like the human body when it is very old
And very new; I us when we are full of experience
or the potential for it--when were are wrinkles
wrapped about the beginnings or endings
of a life

I like the human body when it is no longer
a vessel for children or a catchment zone
for amorous glances; when the body has no purpose
but to exist, and to provoke in those who look on it
a love that has no limit.
