I have been thinking about death.

Telling my friends,
"Don't mourn me,
Just get some good lies
In the newspapers."

But the newspapers only want
A certain kind of line
About people like me.

Lately,
And not just lately,
They have been thinking about blaming
the whole filthy edifice
on the people who make them feel
Icky.

Did you know,
they say,
That war, famine, plague,
And all that death we've been having
Lately,
And not just lately,
Is down to letting some fat
tired transexual
go for a pee?
