when i am hungry
i want to be led
when i am lost
i want to be told
when i am short of love for myself
that you have enough for us both;
i want a handsome man
to kiss me when he's sober
and mean it;
and when i die, which i must
i want to go fast
and warm
and taken wholly by surprise
a good death
like a good kiss
should be something you mean.
